Framed Bikes offers a new set of 29 inch wheels complete with disk, cassette, tires and compatible hubs for 350-400.  Looks like quite a deal but will this leave me with a good bike for bikepacking?
AKA...  Would you rather bike pack with a fat bike with 29 inch wheels or a full suspension with 26 inch wheels, which is my other ride?  After the wheel switch, I suspect the weights will be very similar.
Thanks,

I've bikepacked VT and ADK terrain on both rigid and front suspension 29+, as well as traditional fatbike (Pugsley), as well as rigid 29r (Fargo, with drops and with Jones bars).

I think it depends on terrain, trip objectives, etc.

Full squish for rocky rooty fast trail. Although I don't have one, and never have had one, barely ridden one.
Hardtail for lots of the single track that VT has to offer.
29+ with rigid for gravel, dirt road, forest service road, and some single track (classic mixed terrain).

I guess my question is more along the lines of 29 inch wheels in a a fat bike frame.  Will it feel like a 29er or will it feel like a strange hybrid?  Am I better off spending my money on the wheels or saving for an eventual 29 inch touring bike?  For unloaded single track, I absolutely love my traditional 26er and it won't get replaced any time soon.  I am very excited this winter with my fat bike.  I would like the "fat bike" to do double duty with 29 inch wheels for summer bikebacking tours.  Is it a good idea?
thanks,

Lots of people have done the 29 and 29+ fat old conversion. Local here runs 27.5 and 29+ in a fatbike frame in the summer.

Here is my Mukluk with it's summer shoes on (29x2.5)

Pretty solid, but the Q factor gives me trouble if I go clipless. I keep missing the pedals because I expect them to be so much closer in.
