I'm a junior rider. I'd like to get more into the sport and join a team to race with--preferably with other youth riders. I'd also love to do more hiking, bikepacking, and backpacking. If anyone in the Arizona area has any recommendations on bike clubs that would be excellent! Thanks.

Hey

There is a TON of stuff in PHX depending on what part of town you are in. Almost every LBS has a " race Team" of some kind. Not many offer any kind of " paid sponsorship" but most will at least get you involved in group rides in one form or another. If in the WV check in with estrella cycles. PHX is a wintertime wonderland of bikepacking. The desert is a great place to explore on bike, even most of the local stuff is enough to get out on for a night of packing. Your best bet is to check with your LBS and see what is around. This is a good time to start, the season is fast approaching and teams are all starting there selection process. Or get in with some regular weekly rides. The only MTB rides i know of like this are in the west valley ( fins thursday nights, PM for info ), I am sure there is no shortage of group rides on SoMo. or PMP. The pig would be a good resource for those areas. also google the arizona endurance series, dirty pursuits, and the southwest bikepacking group. all great resources for AZ bikepacking.

Good luck
