Best advice in the world....
Test all of your gear.
Last Feb. I set up my tent in the back yard, crawled into my sleeping bag in the mid 20's and found that "Hey, this isn't too hot nor too cold. It was just about right. It gave me a base expectations.
Last weekend, i put on all of my rain gear and went for a 30 mile ride in the rain and temps in the mid 40s. The rain jacket worked, but everything else was drenched.
It is better to discover failing gear selections when in the back yard or close to home and not on some mountain pass half way across the county, state, country or hemisphere.
Welcome too BTW.
That's a really good idea thanks. I've gone tent so will go and set that up over the weekend make sure I can do it
