Concerning the coil 29er forks, I've since learned that the Reba 29ers can be converted to coil using Pike Internals and the results were very nice according to people who have done the conversion.

there is ther dessent 2.5 showing up in dec... big giant meat of a tire for up front.... 1600 gram though..
i like to think of it as a 1000 gram sus fork thats hard to flat
