I asked this on MTBR, but got no answers, so I thought I would try here.

My new Pugsley frame a few days ago and before starting to mess with the frame saver, I did a cardboard cutout of the front triangle. The front triangle is not that much smaller than on my XXL Fargo, so I think I will make a frame bag with the similar design. The current version has worked very well on the Fargo.

I'm wondering about the perimeter strips (the part against the tubes), though. On the Fargo bag they are 60 mm wide, which seems quite suitable. However, the Pugsley with its wider BB might allow for more width. What are people using? What about making it wider in the front?

I think 80 mm would be safe, with a flare out in the front, but could I go wider still?

Mine have been 3" wide, 3.75" with seam allowance.  I wouldn't make it wider at the front as my legs would rub, but others don't mind or don't find that to be an issue.

I finally made it 90 mm wide (plus seam allowance). More details in another post: http://www.bikepacking.net/forum/index.php/topic,605.msg14302.html#msg14302
