Tell me, where is this mythical convenience store?

I'd like to mount my Garmin HCx to my stem, neatly between my aero bars.  All the factory mounts are designed for the bars and put the unit 90 off of what I need, and there's no ability to swivel the unit. Anyone know a hardware solution?  I've looked at REI and Geoman, no luck yet.

Many have just gone this route:





This is just the stock Garmin hbar mount. You take it apart and just use the top half, do a little bit of filing to make it sit nice on the stem, drill it out, and then zip tie it on. Looks like the one you found will work too. It's just bulkier.

Hi I use the RAM mount with a handlebar clamp made by them.  I think it can swivel 90 degrees to fit on a stem.  As my post from Dec 09 states, this mount is rock solid and has survived several crashes.

I use these Geoman Gear mounts to center my HCX over the stem.

I use the stock Garmin Rail Mount to mount the GPS on to the Geoman Bevato mount.  I actually use two of these mounts, 1 for the gps over the stem, and the other turned forward for my Princetec EOS light.

Anybody running small bikepacking lights that only fit 25.4 bars should also check out the mounts from Geoman.  

You also don't have to remove grips or anything to get them on. They are hinged.

Drawbacks -shipping seems to cost as much as a mount and you add a little weight to your rig and it is one extra piece of gear to worry about.
