40 psi tubeless for most; a bit lower on rougher surface. I weigh 165.

I think it depends a lot on the tire you are using also.

I generally run ~25psi tubes or tubeless and am 220-230lbs.  But with one set of tires, anything over 22psi is way bouncy.  Just depends.

Is that your weight with full gear?
What's your riding style: Ripping corners, popping  the lips of jumps etc needs more air. Smooth and slower riding can have less.
Also consider the tire: bigger diameter tires, tighter beads and stiffer casings can be run lower, skinnier, suple and loose fitting tires need more air.

Try it and see. Do short laps with 2 psi less every lap. 36 psi rear/32 front might be a good starting point.

I run 24-28 in my front tire and 26-30 psi rear for non bikepacking summer use. 170lbs+ person. 2.2 x 29" tires. Relaxed riding.

So much depends on terrain, riding style, tire choice, the amount of gear you tote. Kinda the same formula you use for regular non-bikepack riding.

I ride 26psi F&R but then with BP gear, I up both to 30-32psi.  I also increase the pressure in my reba front shock.  Works well.  btw, I ride a rampage on front, and a michelin racer on back, both on stans arches. (29").

What pressures have you tried? If none, maybe 33-38 is a good starting point. Then start dropping.
