Hello, I was wondering if anyone don't mind share their experience with riding a half fat (fat front) on the CDT.

Is weight being an issue?

29er suspension fork seems like a lighter more sensible option, but half fat is way more badass, do it.

i personally like a rigid 29er for this ride. Mount up some fast rolling semi slicks and go for it. light and fast rolling are good things. the fat front is just unneccesary imo. that said an many folks ride full suspension. it's more important to ride it than fret about gear. run what ya brung! i have seen people on road touring bikes and 5" travel free ride bikes. it all works.

Thank you. The half fat will be my commuter and training bike for a while. I am just very excited about having a fat front tire.
