My tire to seat clearance and exposed seatpost length seem to be limiting my options for a seatbag. It's seems I'm always just short of where I need to be clearance-wise.

For example - The Revelate Terrapin requires 9.5" clearance, I'm at about 9.25 - 9.5". <- I might be able to swing this, once I fine tune my seat height for riding.

The Rogue Panda Picketpost needs 7" of post. I'm around 6.5".

The Bindle looks like a great way to get there. Anyone have any experience with it?

Been on tour for a couple of weeks now with the Brindle.  I have the same problem as you with seat-bags. So far everyt hinge is working out well . Easy to load and unload. I have been using it with a 13 liter dry bag. Just ordered a 2nd one for my wife. No dissapointments

I just bought one and took it on a 13 mi ride. I did feel the seatpost clamp slightly when I locked my legs, but only when sitting forward in the seat. Probably depends on the size of your legs, I am on the heavy side. Certainly fine when just pedaling. The clamp could maybe be rounded. I don't think it will bother me.

Fits fine with 4" of seat post below the rails. I like the design. The bag is easy to take off and on. I added an extra strap to help hold it down when carrying minimal stuff on my everyday rides. I haven't tried it really full! The support from the rack to keep it off the 29+ wheel (I have a medium ECR) plus helping prevent sway was a big draw for me.

BTW, the Rogue Panda Highline only requires 5" of seat post. People say they are able to fit the Relevate Designs Pika bag on a medium ECR... I am 5' 9" and have only 4.5" of exposed seat post on mine, so probably typical. It seems to be a good choice for minimum seat post length.

After fine tuning my saddle adjustment over the past few weeks, it looks like I will have the 9.5" clearance for the Terrapin.

I'm anxious to see if I like it. If I don't, I'm all over the Bindle.

Thanks, everyone.
