can anyone recommend a food bag that would be hung at night? my current one is a Sea to Summit and it gets soaked through in an overnight rain.

Thanks

I use whatever small backpack is part of my kit. If I?m planning for, generally, no pack I bring a minimalist ?pack? like a REI Flash or similar. Essentially a stuff sack with straps, which obviously has uses beyond hanging food.

I've got a few waterproof compression sacks that I use on trips depending on capacity needs.  These would be perfect for hanging food as well.  I think they are Osprey and Sea to Summit.

Another alternative is an Ursack.  No need to hang it as it is bear-proof kevlar (it gets tied to a tree using the bag's cords).  And with the internal odor proof bag the food would be kept dry as well.  I believe these are also critter proof.
