I used to have a pn60 and got rid of it cuz I found it so hard to use (though to be fair I'm new to all this gps stuff). Not what you want to hear, I know. Anyway when you loaded the main gpx file for the race that file included a bunch of waypoints, right? If those are on there personally I wouldn't worry about it if you don't figure out how to get the bear creek waypoints on. I didn't load those last year and certainly didn't miss them. Shoot, even if you have only the track with no waypoints at all I think you are good to go. That being said I thinks it's worthwile to carry the data book. That will give you info on water sources and is a nice backup in case the gps fails. Anyway if you don't get the bear creek waypoints on don't let it stress you.
