OK here goes, this may be a dumb question. I've been reviewing the "personal setups" and noticed people that some mention they pack tent stakes. Well, I notice no hammers included on the packing lists. What if your in an area with hard ground and not many rocks laying around to use to drive those stakes in the ground?

Stand on them and press them in with the front of your foot. A Nalgene bottle has worked for me in the past.

And, though it would seem to be common sense, I have seen WAY too many people injure their feet by standing on stakes wearing crocs or similar shoes. So don't do that.

yeah, be sure to be wearing your 29r specific stiff carbon soled shoes, and align the cleat over the stake.

Or you could just take the shoe off and use it as a hammer!  thumbsup

The Khrushchev maneuver will work better if you have a little vodka first.

My bike multi-tool works pretty good as a mini hammer if necessary.
