How long to train for TDR?
«

I have always dreamt of doing the TDR, but my work commitments and inability to get the miles in during the week as a result of working away has meant it has always just been a dream. Last year I did manage to get to the stage of being able to ride back to back 90 mile road rides on my road bike and do a 4 day bike packing trip with an average of 65 miles / day.
Work has recently started laying people off and it might be my turn to face the axe, but if they do then I will potentially get the chance to dedicate 3 months to being able to train fully without time restraints.
What I want to know is whether it would be too late if I was to start training now for the 2014 TDR?
Thanks
