Any advice for a 2 person tent that packs small/light for bikepacking under $200? I also really want it to be fast fly capable, would just like to find a decent, used Big Agnes Seedhouse SL2 with footprint for $200 or less but no luck yet. Was also considering the new Kelty Salida 2 but it's not fast fly & a bit bulkier than I'd hoped.

I purchased a Sierra Designs Clip Flashlite in the early 90s for a bicycle tour in Ireland. Close to 20 years later and I still use it. They must have made millions of them, they are the VW of tents and last forever. They are super fast to put up which is really important when the weather is bad, it's dark and you are exhausted.

Tarptent has some pretty light, packable tents for 2 (and some of their one person tents have been used by some for 2 people, though a bit crammed). However, their tents are more than $200 (except for the 1 person Contrail). Not sure you are going to find a lightweight tent for 2 for $200 (unless it is used)

awesome; i have one of those as well. my folks bought it for me as my first tent when i was about 12 or 13. i use a bivy on the bike but nice 2 person tent if you like the person and has lasted forever. the only negative is that it is not free standing; but i have set it up on slickrock with big stones as stake-out points.

Go to Six Moons Designs ...Their Lunar Solo works as a 2 man if you don't mind being close and their Lunar Duo is awesome on all levels ( I own Both).
Bear Paw Wilderness Designs has some good products as well (I don't own but want a Cuben "La Garita 3")

How about a tarp? If you took a big enought tarp you can rig it up to provide tent like protection. Hard to beat at that price and weight.
