Hi fellow bikepackers!
I'm from New Zealand and heading to the US in late April to kayak the grand canyon for 23 days (lucky for some I know)! At the end of this trip, I'm very keen to jump on a bike and do some of the great bikepacking the USA has to offer! I'll be off the water on May 16th and ready to go shortly after once I've got my rig sorted.
I've been doing a lot of research on bikepacking.com, with particular interest in the top section of the Arizona Trail, the Colorado Trail, and the Timber Trail. I do however realise that I might be a bit early for some of these trails!
I'm therefore throwing this out to you all out there with local knowledge. I'd love to know any recommendations for some great bikepacking trips in June/July. Happy to travel between Colorado, Utah, California, Oregon and Washington. Happy to do trips between 2-20 days. Am fit, healthy, happy to hike and bike etc. Any advice will be appreciated.
