Anyone here bikepack on a Kona Smoke 700c? I bought one to commute on some time ago and bought a Topeak Super Tourist rack with a view to eventually doing a bit of bikepacking. The problem is the 'arms' (?) that mount to the frame beahind the seatube are far too short and also interfere with the brakes.

I'm a bit annoyed about this really, particularly as I was informed by the guy in the shop that it would fit any frame "26er, 29er, whatever..."  angry4

My girlfriend has a Dr Dew which has 700c wheels and disk brakes; she has a TorTec Ultralite which with a shim fits the brakes fine, weighs about half a kilo and is dead cheap to boot.

Well, I finally got this problem sorted! headbang

As I live in the UK I ended up having to import a Axiom Trekk Seat Collar with rack eyelets and attaching the 'arms' to this rather than the frame.

Not ideal but it seems pretty sturdy so I'm pleased with it.
