The largest thing I seem to be able to find is 28oz. In my mind there has to be a company making something like a 40oz plastic bottle that would fit nicely on my frame with a regular old cage. Does such a thing exist? I'm thirsty

I bought three of the Zefal Magnums. I can just fit 32 oz. in them. The sad part is that all three of them leak around the cap threads. They are the largest I could find so I will try to make a gasket or try some o-rings because I really want these to work.
Hopefully someone else will post some other options.
Jerry

I've used a 32oz powerade bottle. It worked well for me. I had to bend the cage a little but it worked.

The sad part is that all three of them leak around the cap threads. I have some bottles with the same problem. A little plumber's tape on the threads works well to prevent leaking.

In my above reply i meant to include this link for the maxi cincio elite 1 liter water bottle www.cassons.com.au/IN_Product.asp?pid=0000004DL50000000TURPS a larger water bottle is best used on a welded type water bottle braze on, if you have an inserted rivet type bottle mounts (riv nut and nut sert are product type names) as is on my Ti frame they tend to prematurely work loose and need to be replaced.

Topeak also do the adjustable modula XL and the Java cage, both very adjustable to suit large diameter bottles. The modula XL is designed around a 1.25L soda bottle. http://www.topeak.com/products/Adjustable-Cage

Modula XL will hold a 1,5l PET bottle just fine, at least those we have in Europe.
