Latest in season to thru bike CT??

Hey guys great forum here. I am new to bike packing but not to road/backroad touring. I am planning a thru ride of the CT starting September 1st. Reading in the CT guidebook it says you should be off the trail by the end of September (east-west) if wanting to do a thru hike. I am from NW Arkansas and I know snow can come anytime in the mtns (and i am planning on hitting some), so just trying to get some feedback on people who have done the trail this late in the year or any local advice going this time of year. I know weather changes and it could be beautiful or horrible. Thanks - Cody-

I've ridden section 22 (in my backyard) in October, and it would be a cold time of year for a thru-ride. September could be a great month to ride, just make sure and bring extra warm stuff and be prepared to bail or take lower routes as necessary. I'd bring the extra warm gloves.

Thanks Jeremy I kinda figure it'll be alittle more gear intensive trip anything from 70/80's in the day to single digits at night. Still gonna try and keep it as light as possible I just may smell alittle worse at the end
