I have a soma bside v3 with a salsa cromoto grande front fork that has a 468 axle to crown and a rake of 45. I would like to buy a fork with braze ons and places to mount cages etc. Every fork I can find had more axle to crown like 485. I emailed soma and am awaiting an answer. But I have a couple more questions. For one my bb drop is already pretty low on this bike (around 45mm) and a longer fork will make my bb stop even less which I understand isn't desirable as it currently is. I also don't know how the longer fork would affect handling whether positive or negative.  Would a longer fork look silly as in a higher front end?  And lastly i don't know if this is a typo on somas website but they recommend a fork rake for this frame of 42. Even the fork they make for this bike and their juice has a 47 for a rake.

Here you go:

A couple of mm different offset will be unnoticeable.

Putting a slightly longer fork on will do the following: Slacken the head tube and seat tube angles slightly, raise the BB a bit. Whether those changes are positive or negative depends...

BTW, BB drop and BB height are different measurements, which one are you talking about?

BB drop. I know a longer axle to crown is going to lessen my BB drop. This bike already has a 67-68 HTA as it is. I know the fork mentioned will work just wondered what it would be like. I actually thought about an ECR fork but wasn't sure if it was extra wide for plus size tires and would look silly on a bike meant for regular tires.
