Hello everyone,

I'm completely new to Bike-Packing (In so much that I have not done it yet  glasses2) but I have some questions and I'm hoping I can get some help from all of you seasoned veterans!

I have a Kona Fire Mountain bike that I purchased this year.

I'm wondering if this is a good bike to BP with. Or maybe, what should I be looking for to improve on it for better Bikepacking results?

Any help you can provide would be much appreciated!

Thanks

Excellent!

What are some specifics I should be looking for (If any) in regard to my bike and it's components, any specific upgrades I should shoot for? Different shocks, brakes, specific tires that are better suited for the BikePacking enthusiast?

Sorry, Im just brand new and want to make sure i get off on the right....foot?

Cheers!

You'll be able to do pretty much anything that you want with that bike, so you'll be getting off on the right foot for sure. As you bikepack more, you'll figure out what upgrades and changes you want and/or need.

If you have money burning a hole on your pocket, spend it on good bags from Revelate or a similar bag maker!
