I recently built up a Voodoo Bokor 29 and am impressed with its efficiency on pavement and flat surfaces. It seems relatively decent offroad also. However, I can't help but be curious with the "new" breed of all-mountain 29er hardtails with really short chainstays and slack headtube angles (Canfield Nimble9 and Yelli Screamy). I wonder if these bikes sacrifice pedaling efficiency that is so useful when getting to singletrack.
I'm curious as to other's experiences.
PS-if this has been covered before, please direct me to that thread.
