I am really interested in doing a multi day self supported trip. I noticed in all of the pictures of setups the frame bags are on hardtail bikes, will they work on a FS bike? I haven't found a thread yet but people must change settings on suspension for the added weight?

Actually there are quite a few people using full suspension bikes for bikepacking. The bags need to be designed to allow the suspension to operate properly and the only drawback is the loss of some carrying capacity in the front triangle or saddlebag on smaller frames. You will need to adjust your shock settings to compensate for the extra weight of your gear.

Sometimes the stock bags work too. On my Stumpy FSR 29, XL a Jandd frame bag fits ok. The small Tangle bags from Revelate might fit some FS as well. Otherwise, go custom.
Remember, it's not just full-suspension bike that needs adjusting. Front forks need to be adjusted as well as do tires!
After all, if you are normally a 160lbs rider, you would set-up your bike different than a 190lbd rider, which is what you've just become.

I had a frame bag custom built for my full suspension bike by someone here on the forum. I highly recommend having a custom bag for a full suspension because you can maximize your available storage space while working around odd shapes and water bottle bosses. I'm pretty sure I paid less than folks are paying for the name brand bags.
