quilt question,

I want to get a quilt that packs small, The size of a grape fruit or something.  Buy one or sew one I don't care.  If I said 30, would it keep me warm at 30 or let me freeze at 30.  My 20 degree feather bag really keeps me warm at 20.  My 30 degree synthetic bag is bulky and keeps me warm at 40.  It has got to go.  As things slowly wear out, I try to replace them with a good one.  Last years model is good enough for me.  What is the most economical way to get a quilt that packs small and will keep me warm down into the 30s?

Maybe not the cheapest but the best in my opinion.... Nunatak and a Zpacks hood.
I've had mine since 2006.
