My TT is exactly at the margin of the medium sized pack, 19 3/4 inches, based on the sizing chart. Web page says to size down to allow the straps to properly stretch and secure the bag; otherwise, it might be tough to operate the zipper.

Anyone have any real-world experience in this arena...whether to size up or down? I'll be mail ordering and would like to get it right the first time.

I guess nobody has that problem.
It might be a "suck it and see" solution.  You can always pull the bag taut to operate the zip if it is a smidge too long I guess.
