Salsa Fargo size

I've been trying to figure this out for several days and I still am unsure. I am just over 5'8" and have a 31" inseam barefoot. Salsas website puts me right in between a small and a medium. I know bike fit is complicated and personal and I know I could probably ride either one but I would like to hear from all of you Fargo riders out there what you think. I have no way to try out either size in person before buying. Thanks for any help!

Where in N.C. are you? I?ve got a small Fargo and am in Apex if you?re nearby and want to try it out (would consider selling it too). I?m 5?6?-5?7? with a ~ 30? inseam.. One thing to note is the triangle on the Fargo is pretty small so a bigger size does mean more bag space.

You and I are the same size. I have the cutthroat and I too struggled with the bike size. I eventually went with the medium and it feels comfortable and right while riding but the stand over height is a tight fit. That and the sense is one of being tall on the bike while riding (over the experience of my road endurance bike).

I asked my local bike shop and others and the consensus was the bike was right size for me.

Checking back 4 years later to see if this original poster went with a small or medium! I am in the same boat now with wanting to buy a Salsa Fargo, can't test ride and being 5'7-8 ish. I'll start another thread but just wanted to check...
