Send ahead or fly with my bike

Second question for the Divide ride this summer = best to send the bike ahead (i.e to a bike shop in Banff) or bring along as I fly?
If I fly with the bike, it seems like a lot of stuff to bring at once since I will have a B.O.B also etc. Also would you pack your camping stove and bottles with the bike? I have not traveled with my bike via plane and want to know what others experiences are.

I would not ship your bike for fear that it would get held up in customs. Most fly with it. You may have to buy fuel canisters in Banff but that's easy.
