I'm looking to replace my 15+ year old sleeping bag with something a bit lighter and smaller. I've been eyeing the Nemo Tango Solo down comforter for weeks, because it looks like a great kit, particularly because I already have their matching insulated sleeping pad. But then I was looking at the specs of it vs. their other bags, and the Siren really jumped out. It has the same temperature rating, but weighs about 30% less (1lb 3oz vs 1lb 13oz) and packs down to half the size (3L vs 6L). It doesn't have a hood, but I could bring a hell of a lot of hats and balaclavas for that weight.
To complicate matters, I don't always go ultralight. When I go with my girlfriend we bring a more typical touring setup, and futzing with a sleepingbag all night is less desirable.
Do any of you have experience with either of these bags? I haven't been able to find a side by side comparison of the two, only individual reviews, all of which are positive.
