Looking for some ideas to better my carrying capacity/load of my 7x13 sleeping bag off my drop bars. This past weekend I cinched it up with two velcro straps which worked great but jammed up my top cross bar brake levers which was problematic on decending rough, steep and lengthy fire/forest and single track. Ideas would be great or if you have pictures that would be great help. Some how need to suspend in some sort of carrying pouch of some sort. Somebody has already done this I have to believe. Thanks

keep'm crankin

can't help with the top levers, as i don't use them... but the epic harness works really well.
maybe add a spacer under your stem to keep things down? but not sure how that would travel without being cinched tight.

i've also used a 'mark's rack' for small loads. would work well in this case too:

Do you have enough room on the steer tube for another stem?  If so, install it right under the top stem but point it down.  Use a shortened flat bar for the bag to mount to.  This will lower the bag and leave you room for the cross levers,  and other bar mounted accessories.

Or maybe something like this from Siren.

I just put drop bars on my Pugsley, so I will be in the same boat.  I have seen some of the snow guys put aero bars on as a place for hand relief and as a spot to lash things to.

I've done the double stem trick for getting an Ortlieb bar bag lower. Works great. Cool idea to use it for mounting a harness too. That clamp from Siren looks interesting too.
