I?m looking at building up a 29? wheel set. I have a good deal on some Stans Arch Mk3 rims and wondered if anyone has any useful experience with them?  Thanks

If/when properly tensioned balanced they can be good rims.

Some of this comes down to how much you weigh, how much gear you carry on your bike, what size tires you run at what pressures, and what sort of trips you plan to do with them.

when you mount a tire and inflate it the first time, the spoke tension drops >20%
Don't go and start tensioning up the wheel with inflated tire to correct for the drop in tension or it will lead to early cracking around the nipples

No issues at all. The 32-spoke rim was solid while loaded and riding very rough trails with various tire options. I wouldn't hesitate to use that set again.
