Picked one of these up at REI to use in my Big Agnes bag.  It weighs only 3.7 oz/105g and when put in the pillowcase sleeve of my BA bag it was VERY comfy. It has a twist valve so you can adjust the pressure after you've put it in the bag.

Since I went lightweight there's not enough clothing left to use under the legs and the head so I got a pillow too.

Backpacking Light Flexair Ultralight Pillow
0.6 oz /15g, comfy light and cheap, deflated it folds flat in any corner of a pack or pocket.

well they come in a 3 pack, so you'd be set. They are however, small and pillowy, you'd have to be a still sleeper to keep your legs on it all night. Also since it's an air cushion, they don't insulate very much.

Hmm those pillows look nice. Gonna try to find one here in europe.


Wasn't air one of the best insulators there is? At least that is what I am taught. As long as the air does not move it insulates pretty good. Altough it works best when a reflective barrier is placed underneath.

Yep, the moving part is the key. air matresses(and pillows) insulate poorly because the air is constantly moving inside

PS shipping can't be too much on these since they are so light, they are also cheap enough not to bother customs.
