Does anyone have experience with the Supernova line of dynamo hubs, lights, etc.

At the link below, read about a dynamo hub, 'the plug' which takes AC dynamo power and converts it into DC to charge a battery or one of their headlamps. Just wondering if reality is as good as their website.

Also, curious to see if you could use another brand dynamo as the power source.

Thanks,

I believe that most dynamos run a standard 6V3A configuration. That's 6 volts AC with up to 3 amp generating capacity.

I like the USB mounts like those; however, I'd be more prone to running a headlight that is made for use with a dynamo and wire up a switch to control the power going to it or the USB. Less to go wrong that way.

A friend used the Sinewave for the Tour Divide this summer, and had zero issues.
