Wanting to get into bikepacking and wondering what size (ie litres) pack people are using? I have a wingnut enduro that I use as my regular pack but I am thinking it is to small. Was thinking of picking up something in the 30-36L size.

I have a Talon 22 as did a lot of the AZT 300 riders this year and the year before.

The Talon 22 is probably the most popular backpack for bikepacking right now.  The 22 in the name is the volume in liters.  It seems to be more than enough capacity for most ultra light folks.

I guess it depends how light / ultralight you're trying to go. I have a Wingnut Adventure pack (26L) and have yet to fill it up. I usually put my sleeping bag, bivy and sleeping pad on the bike, and maybe a couple things from the normal dayride packload too (total 5 lbs.  maximum added to the bike), it rides and is carryable just about like it's unloaded. I have been considering downsizing to the Wingnut Enduro (20L) for it's shorter overall height and width, but would love to check out a talon 22 first.

30-36 Liters is huge to be riding with unless you're a giant guy.

I use an early 90's Mountainsmith Omnipack that's 24 liters or a Camelbak Transalp that is 28 liters. I've only ever filled them when I carried some bulky fleece on cold weather trips.

You can't answer that question in a meaningful way

There are a few variables to consider here:
  • What is the actual size of the pack? 2 25l packs may be very different in reality
  • How much do you carry? Length of trip, location, climate and personal preferences all vary
  • How much capacity do you have on the bike?

If each of those varies by a fair bit the end results will be very different for 2 riders

All I did was convert the cubic inches number from the manufacturer to liters.

More to Slim's point, the Mountainsmith is a single large compartment with various outside attachment points and an uninsulated sleeve for one of those new 70oz.(!) Camelbak bladders. The Transalp has a divided large inner compartment and two smaller pockets. Each pack has it's advantages and disadvantages depending on the trip.

Right now I am switching back and forth between a 30l Dueter Transalpine and an 13 liter Ultimate Directions pack just depending on how long I need to go between resupplies.  With the Ultimate Directions pack I have to put the stove on the bike.
