Ok, I have found info about the handlebar ends.  Yet, I cannot for the life of me figure out what the ones are that are in the center shaped like an "A".  Could you just as easily attach a pair of the bar ends toward the stem?

What are you guys using?  What are good items, and what are "gimmicks?"

Thanks, Ty

I'm gonna assume (which is always dangerous) that you're talking about aerobars that are mounted more inboard? Is this something you're seeing on bikes in the Tour Divide? If so...the racers are using those for a couple of reasons. They do allow them to slice through the wind a bit more. Perhaps a bigger reason for their use in something like TDR is that it takes a lot of pressure off the triceps and, in general, moves the weight to a different position and makes logging those super long days in the saddle more tolerable. Make sense?
