Has anybody used the Guthook or other AZT apps?  If so are they worth it?

I have the AZT app but haven't really used it. No doubt it would do the job of route finding but it lacks tracking so I have Gaia, as recommended to me by Scott Morris.

My phone is a cheep POS but Gaia works well enough, I can open the whole AZT750 course, but it can only track so long before it starts to slow down or freeze. Saving the track frees up memory and it works again.

I got the AZT app last year after I raced the 300 but before I toured the route again in the winter. I wish I got the app before the race as a study aid for water, supply points, etc.. While touring I didn't use it at all to navigate and actually I don't think I even referenced it. In looking over it before the ride though i was nice to check out and is very comprehensive. I should mention I have an iPod touch, not a phone so navigation wasn't really an option anyway. I would have had to cross reference to my GPS.

For nav I used a free downloaded topo and put the race route on it onto my Garmin.

I got it when it 1st came out. It has good info, but nothing for the wilderness reroutes. Being new the crowd sourced info is a little lacking and water sources are way optimistic.
The Colorado trail app has been around for a while & is a must have. The AZT app will get there. We just need to pony up the $10 & input the relevant data.
Remember that $10 goes to the AZ trail association
