Bikepacking to the 14ers Guide in Development

Howdy Everyone,

Thought I'd post a project of mine to get the word out: I'm trying to develop a bikepacking guide to ALL the Colorado 14ers. Ride to the TH, leave the bike, hike up/down, resupply in town, then repeat. This was a trip I did in 2014, and found it so incredible, I did it again in 2017 (adding 47 other peaks!). Now, I'd love to get more people out there to experience this on their own.

The idea is that during the Winter, I'll share what the guide is shaping up to be, so that when summer rolls around, I may get some brave souls to attempt some of the route narratives. I don't have a clear path on how I could fund this as a published guidebook - my fear is this is such a niche idea, the audience would be small, but I'm open to ideas. Anyways, enjoy! Justin this is great I've enjoyed following along on your peak bagging. Something I also partake in on a smaller scale. Website looks good have you considered just putting all of your efforts there. Back in the early days of bikepacking the AZT I tried to talk Scott into doing an bike guide to the AZT, there was an earlier printed book that took a gravel bypass for most of the route, Scott's thinking was it made more sense to keep the info online and up to date rather then commit to paper. I would think that people who would pay for a book would be willing to make donations to keep an up to date site going and maybe google adds would help cover server costs. Consider adding a forum and a way for people to add to the community, trip reports, current conditions and such.

Bikepackpeakbagging now there's a niche activity. Likely never going to catch on with the masses, but who cares it's a cool way to explore with out burning gas.
