Hi everyone,
I'm new to bikepacking, but have been biking and backpacking all my life. I just moved to Boston from California and really don't seem to know the area that well. I've been doing some moderate bike day trips out and back from Boston, but I'd love to get into some S24Os. Trouble is, I can't seem to find anywhere good to camp that is a reasonable ride from Boston. I just got a car rack, so I'd be willing to drive out of the city before hopping on my bike if that is what it takes.

I've scoured MA bike maps and guides and have found lots of 20-40 mile rides, but nothing with a good camping spot. Do you have any recommendations?

Contact the New England Mountain Bike Association.   NEMBA.com.  We have chapters all thru out New England and i am sure someone has ideas. Southern NH or Me. Would be easy and relatively close. I am in the Berkshires. Contact me if you want to come out this way. 2 1/2 hours

Try Harold Parker State forest. Andover, N Andover. Ever checked out the Bay Circuit trail. Circumnavigates Boston, runs between 128 and 485, lots of off road with road connectors. There was a write up about some riders who did the whole thing in 3 days in lasts years singletracks( NEMBA newsletter) Also check out the DCR page, lots of camping opportunities.
