About to finish the Great Divide (started tour in Alaska in June) at Silver City and will be heading west to San Diego. Have heard about Southern Tier, but looking for viable dirt options (inc GET if suitable sections exist) - just wondered if anyone had suggestions or could point me at some GPX routes.
I'm guessing GET is mostly too technical/steep/rough for heavy bikes, but we don't mind moderate single track, double track and rougher roads. We're on flat bar 29ers with 2.35 tyres.
cheers
Mark.

Most likely the GET would be as you described.
