Vancouver to San Diego starting on August 2015 - any one?

I am planning a tour from Vancouver to San Diego starting on August 2015.
Is anyone planning or willing to do this route?
Has anybody here ever done it?
Suggestions, ideas and contacts, please!

Hi Andie,
Most of the travel discussed here is off pavement/dirt/gravel/single track types of touring.  Though I know many here have toured extensively on the road as well.  I'm not aware of a continuous off-pavement route from BC to SD. 

Here are a few quick resources just in case you're unaware of them:

- Adventure Cycling Association, (ACA):  Detailed, cycling specific maps of the Pacific Coast Route and many other routes.
- ACA's internet forums on bicycle travel.
- Crazyguyonabike.com - Excellent resource for bicycle travel throughout the world.
- A google search of books on cycling the Pacific Coast.  There are many available.
