If you truly are looking for an adventure, think overseas. I started mountain biking in Mexico, largely in part to the vast, untamed sections of "sheep singletrack."

Check out Mexico maps and info here: http://www.bicimapas.com.mx/rutas.htm

(I have done two of the routes mentioned and am thinking about doing the Travesía al Desierto de Altar in Sonora soon.

Over which sea do you travel to get to Mexico from Arizona?   icon_scratch

Travesía al Desierto de Altar?  Better bring the Pugsley:

The Metallica soundtrack sold me.   headbang

When do we start?

Just found this....

Looks like there are some interesting routes in there... I'll see if I can find that Durango route in a few days. More soon.

Hi,
I have used this wiki site for rides in Baja California and  some on the Mexico mainland.  You set in ACTIVITY as mountain biking, then pan and zoom in.

Some sites bring in contributed routes, then start charging to share them.   Haven't seen that here.

Many of the users are from local area-Mexico.

There is a Mexico topo available for Garmin GPS units.

The site appears to work globally.   Check it out.
