In 2014 we plan to complete a TransMichigan route we are calling Split the Mitt.  It is roughly 574 mile from Ohio to the Mackinac Bridge.  The route combines single track, two track, and some other types of road.  There are by pass routes as some of the trail we will use are closed to MTB.  The date to follow.  Stay tuned.

I hope there isn't too much sand in the northern sections.

I like the name of the route.  Dual meanings... my second thought of 'Split the Mitt' is  what Obama did to Romney (A Michigander) in the last the election!

This sounds awesome. I'm in.. Hopeful for a late August start, with cooler temps and less tic's in the northern section.
