Congrats to vikb for completing a route from Cape Scott to Victoria on Vancouver Island!
850km long with 12590m of climbing over 7.5 days.

Thread on MTBR with detailed notes:

It looks like a lot of fun. I'm hoping I can get a week off in the early fall so that I can take a crack at it.
There also seem to be some alternate sections that would be nice... Hard to tell just looking at maps though Wink

Thanks vikb!

Thanks for posting. Sorry for my repost above. I missed this.

There are lots of alternate options if you want to add extra riding to the route.

- visiting any number of the Gulf Islands
- side-trip to Tofino
- extending southern route to Port Renfrew and/or Jordan River

If you need any route planning help just holler. Smiley

This route looks great!  Maybe someday when I can get enough time off I can get it done.  I know it rains a fair bit out there.  When is the best time of year to go...if there is one?

It rarely rains June through Aug. April/May and Sept/Oct can be very dry as well. I wouldn't try riding this route Nov-Mar unless you are okay with rain.

If I could ride it any time I'd probably pick last 2 weeks in May.
