A couple friends and I will ride the trail in early October.  Are planning a three-day, self-supported clockwise ride.

I am looking for feedback from those who've ridden the trail.  We have permits for 2 overnighters -- at Gooseberry and Potato.  What detours are the best?  Is it feasible to do without a support vehicle, etc.?

I posted this on MTBR and got a couple responses.  Wondering what you guys/gals think.
