Hi all,

I'm just finishing up a year down in Antarctica and have about 5 months to travel NZ after. A friend is coming to meet me and travel until mid-May, after which, I plan to bicycle around on my own. My question is this: Is there anyone near Christchurch that would be able to store a touring bike and possibly a duffel bag from March to 15/5-ish? Or does anyone know of a reasonably cheap storage facility in the area?

I don't, but have you considered approaching warmshowers hosts in the Christchurch area?

When I toured NZ, I stopped a few times to tramp without the bike. I literally just asked the first person I saw if I could keep my bike at their place, before I stuck my thumb out and got the first car to pass me to stop. I would try just a backpackers or something if you could leave your bike somewhere out of the way, honestly!
