Hey I'm just new here, I live in Argentina and can for sure give some tips for your bikepacking trip. Ruta 40 is an amazing option, with beautiful scenes from the wine area of Mendoza to the Lake District close to Bariloche. In Patagonia, you must visit El Chalt?n to do trekking and El Calafate to see Perito Moreno Glacier. Getting a local guide is very good idea?they can give special advice and help with language problems. If you go northwest, see Cafayate and Salta for special views and tasty wine. From September to December is best time for your visit because weather nice, but in Patagonia be ready for changing conditions. Have a great trip in Argentina!
Welcome to forum, thank you for helpful advice. I have heard wonderful stories about wine regions and Lake District too. El Chalt?n and El Calafate are surely on my travel list too. Yeah, I think hiring a local guide is a good idea. Speaking of which, do you know about
