Plenty of choices, if you're looking for paved trails, what are you looking for?

Ohio (River) to (Lake) Erie

Xenia is a crossroads of bike trails.

I'd prefer trails off/road further into nature the better.

Thanks!

I would be interested in this as well. Though,I can't really think of any place you could totally be off road. I am thinking Malabar Farms possibly, or maybe looking into stuff around the Hocking Hills? There might be some dirt road type stuff or power line trails east or SE of C-bus that would resemble fire roads. I have been looking into this as well so I will keep people posted.

I was wondering if you could ride any part of the Erie Canal trail as well.

Most of the dirt road stuff I knew was back in the old strip mines near Crooksville where my Dad grew up. Most of the land was still owned by Peabody Coal last time I was there, nature was slowly winning back the sandstone walls.

It has always seemed to me that the choices are few and far between for offroad, especially bikepacking, in Ohio, but you might do a ride along the Little Miami and hit the offroad riding at John Bryan and Caesar Creek and anyplace else along the way that offers the chance.

I'm not finding a whole lot in Ohio, but there is Wayne National Forest

But there's likely 10 times the number of trails in the Allegheny National Forest in PA, about 3 hours east of Cleveland. Did a lot of backpacking there and in most areas you can remote camp. But there are campgrounds available as well.
