I'm tentatively planning a trip to start in the last couple weeks of October in Durango, CO, head west through Utah to Cedar City before heading south into Arizona. Then would skirt around the Grand Canyon, through Prescott onto Wickenburg before turning west to San Diego. Possibly some riding up the Pacific Coast to San Francisco area at that point.
I'm estimating 1300 miles (without riding up the California coast) and would be shooting for 80-100 mile days, so a 2-3 week trip ending mid-November.
Anyone interested / have advice? I mountain bike professionally but have never committed to an endurance adventure like this.

I couldn't commit to something like that right now. But not for lack of desire. Is that something you would think about doing again in the future?
I'm new to bikepacking, and frankly I'm new to mtb, but it's a dream of mine to do something like that in the next 1 to 3 yrs.

I'm sure I will do more bikepacking / touring in the future.
And this actually won't be on the MTB, mostly roads on a steel, gravel-grinder bike so I could take off on some backroads if I wanted to. Sticking to roads seemed like a smart idea as this is my first tour. MTB bikepacking seems a little more minimalist, but I might be interested in that in the future. We'll see how this one goes first.
And it starts in two days!
