Hi guys,

I'm busy planning a bikepacking trip around the wonderful Isle of Mull off the coast of Scotland. I've looked at the routes and everything seems grand. However, I'm a little stuck on how to get up there in the first place. My initial idea was I would grab a bus or a train but that is looking expensive and not always accessible.. The buses don't always go direct, they can't take full size bikes etc..

Has anyone done a trip on the Isle of Mull before, heading up in the car and leaving it somewhere? Either on the main land at Oban or on the island near Craignure..

Any info anyone has is greatly appreciated!

I live in the area and know Mull. You need to head to Oban, train easiest direct from Glasgow for the bike. The citylink bus service will carry bikes FOC but they must be boxed. When you coming up? I may be able to give you a lift/hand.
