UPDATED: Going to try for this again on May 4/5! Company welcome!

I'm planning on doing a short weekend trip to the Massanutten Mountains / Fort Valley. I've got what I think is a pretty cool route worked out based on numerous trail-running, hiking, and biking trips to the area. Start at Signal Knob trailhead on Saturday, ride about 60 miles on combination of singletrack, jeep track, and dirt road. There will be some heinous hike-a-bike sections and a couple brutal climbs. Camp at Mudhole Gap, which is pretty much a loop back to the start. Day 2 is a 40 mile loop along the same lines.

This will be my first SECOND bikepacking trip and I'm excited about it! Planning on long, tough days. Reply to this thread or PM me if interested and I can post up more details. headbang

So with the 16-20" of snow I'm bagging it and going skiing this weekend, but here's the track info nonetheless (KML Files Attached):

Day 1 (~60mi, 10,000' climbing)

Day 2 (~40mi, ~6,000' climbing)

My next window to try this route out is Apr 6/7. It should be a pretty intense route! A little too intense for riding with a foot of heavy wet snow on it.  BangHead

I wish so much I could get down to join this trip. That area is probably my favorite in the entire world. As it is I'll be doing a short out-and-back overnighter in Southeast PA...not quite the same as the Blue Ridge Mountains...but hopefully somebody from your trip will post photos and a trip report!
