I'm looking for some folks to ride the Ouachita Trail with.  Looking to go between August 20th and September 14th.  Want to put in 30-50 miles/day over a 4-5 day period. If you are interested and this timeframe fits your schedule hit me up.  I'm a 38 yr old dude, married w/ 3 kids.  Looking to get back to nature for a week and enjoy the mountains on a bike.  I'm relatively new to bikepacking and have done a couple of S24Os successfully and have all the gear now.  Would love to ride with someone that has more experience and willing to share their knowledge/experiences.

Kip,

That might be a bad time to hit the OT...  Might be a bit overgrown and water may be hard to come by with out water drops.  You might post on MTBR.com (http://forums.mtbr.com/midsouth-la-ms-ar/) to get a local's take...

Yeah, I just got the OT guide this week and have plans now to go in mid-October after reading about weather/water availability. Thanks!

Cool, I will be in Flagstaff in late July...   I won't be able to go bike packing, but I want to do part of the Cocnino trail...
