Haven't had much time with a Colorado.  Early units were hard to see (screen) and buggy.  I think they have improved things lately though.  The HR option is nice to have.  I'd look for some more recent reviews.

This is what I get for reading all the post about pre-race breakage from you guys:

Major set back yesterday during my lunch time ride. Broke my 4th Gary Fisher frame in 18months!!!
Yes 4th! I now have 2 bike with multible problems that nothing swaps back and forth to.
The best part is: it will not be covered under warrenty because the crack was caused by chain suck against the frame which caused it to weaken and crack, bastards! angry4

So I have cash in hand and heading to the bike shop this afternoon. Me thinks a steel frame is in my future thumbsup I'm thinking Karate Monkey with American Classics, we'll see what happens.

I've got a 20" red Karate Monkey, brand new and I'll sell it for $400+shipping if it's your size and you're interested. Frame and fork and seatpost clamp. It's boxed and can go in the mail ASAP.

I'm pissed, I have a Garmin Edge 705 but it's messed up, I can't get a course to load on it anymore.  I don't think I'll be able to get mine fixed in time so I may just buy another GPS.

Rob - I might be able to help get your 705 working again.  It's a great tool for the stage race format as you'll have plenty of time to charge it each day.  I've been using one since they came out and have been through it all...PM me for an email addr if interested.

I will have the SPOTS at The Place. You can pick them up there or here in Tucson.

Looks like a fire outside of Wiliams. Any idea if it is on the route?

Looks like its within .5 miles or so of the course, I guess worst case would be to skip wiliams mtn.  icon_scratch

Looking into it. According to the bulletin, seems like the route is still golden. Pray for rain.

Damn, Bill Williams Mountain is definitely closed.  Fire is burning on the mountain.  Very unlikely we'll be able to ride the very sweet trail this year.

73 is open, so we could just b-line straight to Williams on it.  Nuts.

Hmmmm....prescribed burn on a windy, dry day? Bummer. There is a slight chance of rain tomorrow.

Looks promising, and its only a few feet away from The Place

The Place is on Milton (the main drag after you exit the highway coming from Phoenix), if you are heading north it is on the west side before you go under the train tracks (between Phoenix and Tucson Streets). You will see some bikes in the front along with a huge banner that says Welcome Coconino Loop Racers and TV news reporters.

5 more days until race day!

Will the podium be set up at "the place" also. Will the podium be covered? Just looking out for the trophy girls, I'm just saying.......It could happen.
